Breaking: €100m Man United target confirms he's staying in Spain

Antoine Griezmann has confirmed that he’s staying at Atletico Madrid at least for another season.

Repeatedly linked to Manchester United in a huge €100 million deal, the 26-year-old player told TF1 (France’s main TV Channel) that he would stay after Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban was confirmed.

“We were waiting for the TAS (the court of arbitration for sport)’s sentence, and now that it’s happened I have decided - along with my advisor - to stay,” Griezmann told Telefoot.

“We still have a good season in us, and we can try to get some good players in December.

“Am I bothered by the rumours? No, but it was pretty annoying because I had been saying all year that I was happy at Atletico.

“It’s a difficult moment for the club and my team-mates, so it would be a real knife in the back if I were to leave now.

“We spoke to the club’s directors and we are now fully on board for next season”.
