Breaking: Juventus agree terms with Arsenal goalkeeper

Juventus have reached an agreement with Wojciech Szczesny, we can exclusively reveal.

Szczesny feels like a Juventus player already, Fabrizio Romano reports, and has already told Arsenal that he wants to move to the J Stadium, where he is expected to be Gianluigi Buffon’s long-term replacement.

The Arsenal goalkeeper has accepted to join the Bianconeri from Roma, where he was played for two seasons on loan.

Though the numbers have yet to be confirmed, the Old Lady has been chasing the Polish international since before the Champions League final they lost 4-1 to Real Madrid, with the talks beginning before Cardiff, too.

Buffon has said before that he wants to make next year’s World Cup in Russia with Italy, but that he may well hang up his cleats after that.

The Gunners signed Szczesny in 2006, when he joined the team’s youth academy. He was a long-time starter at the Emirates, playing 132 games for them at the Premier League level.
