Breaking: Juventus meet Real Madrid over departing defender

CalcioMercato can reveal that Juventus are in the hunt for Real Madrid defender Danilo, following the departure of first-choice right-back Dani Alves.

Just in the last few hours, representatives between the two clubs have met to thrash out a deal that would see the former-Porto man join up at the Old Lady.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, as CalcioMercato revealed earlier this week, is in for the Madrid man too. But it seems as if it’s the Turin club who have swooped in for the player’s services, with a proposal of 15m EUROs plus bonuses.

La Liga giants Madrid have set the price at just over 20m EUROS, so the offer is within the same region.

We understand that Danilo is in favour of the move to the Italian side. Yet the Black and Whites of Serie A do have other options, one being Joao Cancelo of Valencia, and the other being Matteo Darmian of Manchester United. With the latter, Reds boss Jose Mourinho is not prepared to drop lower than his valuation of the Italian.
