Breaking: Roma make opening bid for Mahrez as player gives green light to move

Roma have made an opening bid to sign Leicester City target Riyad Mahrez, according to a report of Sky Sport.

The Algerian winger is one of the giallorossi priority targets as they look to replace Mohammed Salah who joined Liverpool in a potential € 50 million move last month. AS Roma are believed to have offered Leicester € 22/23 million. The Foxes’ asking price, however, is set to € 35 million.

Negotiations between the two clubs will be ongoing in the coming days but the Algeria star is reported to have already given his green light to move to the Italian capital.

AS Roma DS Monchi wants to sign two new attacking wingers and Mahrez would be one of them. The giallorossi are also closing in on the signing of Gregoire Defrel, a former Tottenham and Leicester City target who can either play as attacking winger or centre-forward.

Both of them could be joining Roma this summer even though the French striker is the closest player to join the Olimpico.
