Breaking: Napoli star Milik could be back in January, Polish sources say

Arkadiusz Milik could return to training by late December or early January, according to a shocking report from Poland.

Respected newspaper Sportowe Fakty claim that the Napoli striker could be back working with his team-mates before the end of the winter break.

The 22-year-old tore his ACL on international duty in October, leaving many to rightly speculate that his ACL tear would keep him out for the obligatory six months, if not longer.

“Sources close to the player tell us that he’s in good shape,” Sportowe Fakty write, “The dog days are all but gone".

“Thanks to Napoli’s medical staff, Milik stopped feeling pain almost immediately”.

As encouraging as these words are for the Pole and the Partenopei fanbase, not to mention flattering to Doctor De Nicola and his team, the fact remains that Milik will need time to rehabilitate and get back to match fitness.

There has been some controversy over a potential return date, with Napoli’s staff claiming that January was possible, only for Milik himself to mention the Spring as a more realistic date.
