    Bad news for Lazio fans: Dutch defender Stefan de Vrij underwent knee-surgery this morning in Antwerp and, as reported by the Biancocelesti’s official website, will need about six months to recover. The Dutch international is highly sought after on the international scene, and was reportedly a target for Manchester United during the summer.
     
    The 23-year-old suffered an injury two months ago while playing for his national team against Turkey. At the beginning, his injury didn’t seem serious, but the former Feyenoord player has since failed to make it to get back on the pitch, which explains Claudio Lotito's anger at the KNVB, the Dutch Football Federation. 
     
    Now, as outlined by calciomercato.com, Lazio will probably try to sign a defender during the next transfer window.
