In the first match day of the Champions League group stage, Bayern beat Roma 2-0 and AC Milan beat Auxerre with the same results. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the two goals for Milan.

The first half was good for Roma, but in the second half the Germans increased the pressure. Roma's keeper, Julio Sergio, saved the goal on a few occasions but eventually he had to give up. 

Milan-Auxerre 2-0 Reti: 66' e 70' Ibrahimovic (M)
The Italians suffered in the first half where Auxerre had the chance to score. In the second half Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored two goals that gave Milan a victory.
