Champions League Final Countdown: Bale taking Real squad down the pub if they retain the trophy

On the eve of his club’s appearance in the Champions League Final in Cardiff, Gareth Bale has told reporters that he knows the perfect place to take his team-mates to celebrate, if they become the first team to successfully defend their crown.

It will be an emotional night for Bale who will run out in his home city to face Juventus in club football’s European showpiece, but the 27-year-old was in no doubt where he wanted to take Ronaldo, Benzema and company when he explained that; ““I know where I’d want to celebrate. Take the team back to Elevens Bar & Grill and have a few beers.”

Now the city’s most famous footballing son, Bale murals have popped up all over and the great man himself revealed that; “It’s a bit strange obviously. Growing up in Cardiff and just being a normal Cardiff boy… then seeing massive drawings of you on walls in the street.”
