Chelsea back in the hunt for Swansea striker

Chelsea are set to rekindle their efforts in the pursuit of Swansea forward Fernando Llorente, according to the Metro via HITC.

This follows the recent news that Chelsea have missed out on their number one target Romelu Lukaku, as the Everton forward looks set to join Premier League rivals Manchester United for a fee of £75m.

The Blues were interested in the former Serie A man - who scored 15 goals in 22 appearances for the Welsh club - back in January, but now look to reignite the attempts in signing the Spaniard from Swansea.

The West London side’s main striker Diego Costa has been heavily linked with a move away following a falling out with manager Antonio Conte, and so now Conte is searching for attackers who can fill the hole, with Llorente considered as an option, albeit one that would most likely featured in a supporting role.
