Chelsea boss Conte wants Marchisio as third Juventus star signing

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte wants to make it a trio of Juventus signings this summer, as he seeks to bring in highly-rated Claudio Marchisio from the Old Lady, according to Italian publication La Repubblica via The Metro.

Conte has put his former club’s players under his watchful eye and is already thought to have a deep interest in Alex Sandro and Bonucci, but wants to cap it off by bringing in the 31-year-old from the Turin side.

The Italian international still has three years remaining on his contract to the current Serie A champions but that is not have thought to have put off Conte by any measure. The midfielder could be keen on a switch to the west-London club should an offer on the table be sustainable enough to lure him away.

Marchisio only played 15 games last season after a cruciate ligament meant that his form was not enough to earn a place back in the side. But the player is still thought of as a huge talent and one that could boost Chelsea’s quest for a second consecutive Premier League win next season.
