Chelsea: Conte eyes Roma starlet, Atletico open Diego Costa talks

Antonio Conte is reported to have solved his issues with Chelsea and the Blues are now ready to begin negotiations to complete the first signings of the summer. The Italian manager is reported to be an admirer of Roma-bound midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini who spent the last two seasons on loan at Sassuolo and is set to make return to the Italian capital through the giallorossi € 11 million release clause.

Pellegrini, 21, is shining with U21 Italy National team having scored the azzurrini opener with a stunning bicycle kick goal. According to The Sun, Chelsea will try to hijack Roma bid for the talented starlet, but it is believe that Pellegrini will eventually join Roma where he will have a chance to play alongside his idol Daniele De Rossi.

Meantime, the Blues are also busy with selling some of their outcasts.

As widely known, Diego Costa is not part of Conte’s plans for the future and the Mirror reports Atletico Madrid have already made contact to take the troublesome striker back to Spain. Atletico Madrid can’t sign Costa until their transfer ban ends at the beginning of next January.
