Chelsea’s long search for a new striker could be coming to an end with reports that Borussia Dortmund frontman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is close to a move to Stamford Bridge. Reporting in The Mirror, football journalist John Cross claims that the Premier League champions are close to offloading Diego Costa to Atletico Madrid which will clear the way for the 28-year-old to move to West London.
 

Costa will not be able to play for the Spanish side until January due to their transfer embargo but Atleti plan to loan him out for six-months so he maintains match fitness. Aubameyang meanwhile, has headed off with the rest of the Dortmund squad for pre-season training with the club desperate to collect the money from his sale. 
 

There has been huge interest from China for the player but Aubameyang has told his current employers that he only wants to move to the Premier League.
