Chelsea news: Zouma completes loan move, Conte makes Diego Costa exit revelation

Promising Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has officially joined Stoke City, the Premier League side have announced through their official website. Zouma, 22, had been previously linked with a move to Napoli but The Potters have managed to wrap up a deal with the Premier League champions securing the services of the French defender.

Zouma became one of Chelsea’s most promising defenders during José Mourinho’s second spell at the Stamford Bridge but his expectations to become a regular Chelsea starter collapsed when he picked up a knee injury which had forced him out of the pitch for nearly 10 months.

Stoke have signed Zouma on a season-long loan, the Potters have announced with an official statement.

Meantime Antonio Conte has had his word about Diego Costa leaving Chelsea. The Spaniard was told that he is not part of Chelsea’s plan for this season and the Italian tactician says that the striker is aware of his position at the club since very long time.
“I don’t to like to talk about players that don’t stay here, but the only thing I can tell you (is) in January, the Costa situation was very clear, for the club, for him and his agent. For me the situation is closed”, Conte said on Friday.
