Chelsea on red-alert as Torino tell star striker he can leave in the summer

Reports in this morning’s La Stampa (via Calciomercato.com), has revealed that Torino President Urbano Cairo will put half of his current first-team squad on the transfer market this summer.

The most high-profile of these is star striker Andrea Belotti and the journal believes that this latest news will have once again alerted Chelsea boss Antonio Conte who is a huge admirer of the 23-year-old Italian international.

The Premier League leaders have been linked with a move for the player since last summer although Cairo at the time was not interested in any deal. Now the patron looks set to cash in on his striker whilst his stock is rising

The Italian side would be looking at bids of around €100 million from overseas clubs before they would even sit round the negotiating table, as this was the release clause inserted in the contract extension Belotti signed last December. It’s now believed however, that the final amount could actually be less than this.
