Chelsea planning to hijack Man Utd's move for Morata

Chelsea are planning a sensational move for Spanish striker Alvaro Morata. The Mirror claims that the Premier League champions will attempt to hijack Manchester United’s move for the 24-year-old by offering Real Madrid £70M for the frontman.

Despite Morata reportedly agreeing personal terms with United, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is looking for a replacement for Diego Costa and his Spanish international team-mate is believed to be the Italian tactician’s primary choice.

Costa is understood to be closing in on a return to Atletico Madrid but if he makes the move, he will be unable to play before January 2018 due to the transfer embargo placed on the club from the Spanish capital.

Chelsea are also in the running for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku with the Belgian international already stating that his future is decided and that his agent, Mino Raiola, is finalising where he will be playing his football next term.
