The Piedmont’s club never doubted about the player’s quality, while they have always been quite sceptic about his physical conditions: for this reason, Juve were thinking about signing the former AS Roma man on loan with right to buy.
After signing Mats Hummels, the Roten were even ready to let the 28-year-old leave with such formula, but the bianconeri seem to have changed their plans: considering the recent performances on Daniele Rugani and the fact that also Evra can be deployed as a center back, the Serie A champions could finally decide not to sign a new defender.
