CM EXCLUSIVE: Juve's plan for Biglia

A red card is not the best way to end a season; this is what happened yesterday at Carpi to Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia. On the other hand, the fact that he will miss the last game against Fiorentina could speed up the transfer of the 30-year-old.

The Argentina international has in fact many suitors, especially Inter Milan and Juventus. The nerazzurri were about to sign the former Anderlecht man during the last transfer window, but finally –also because of the injury suffered by the player- they didn’t carry out the negotiation. On the other hand, the bianconeri have intensified their talks with the agents of the South American playmaker, especially after the serious injury suffered by Claudio Marchisio.

Through his agent Enzo Montepaone, Biglia –who is looking for an important contract and wants some technical warranties-  has informed the Serie A champions that he would agree to a transfer to Turin. The Piedmont’s club will then wait for the biancocelesti’s president Claudio Lotito to set a price, as it’s not intentioned to pay more than €15 million plus bonuses.

On the other hand, Lotito himself is still waiting to meet the Argentine to talk about a possible renewal: the Roman club is ready to offer to the player two times the amount he is earning now, but Biglia is not evaluating only the financial aspect. If he will ask to leave, Lazio will try to obtain the highest amount possible, maybe over €20 million, and in that case, he could move only abroad, while Biglia would like to stay in Italy. Juve will then try to take advance of Biglia’s choices, and of the fact that they have some players that they could offer to the Roman club.
