    CM EXCLUSIVE: why Tottenham could sign Mandzukic

    Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic hasn’t scored many goals during the current season, but he has become a key player for Massimiliano Allegri’s squad. The Croatia international is a veritable leader for the bianconeri and has started every time he was in good physical conditions. Moreover, last Saturday he has scored a decisive goal during the goal against Napoli.
     However, the former Bayern man doesn’t seem to be cornerstone for the Serie A defending champions’ future: the Piedmont’s club, despite the possible departure of Alvaro Morata, is thinking about another forward to play next to Alvaro Dybala, and the main candidate is Edinson Cavani.
    The 30-year-old would probably become a backup for the two South Americans, and maybe he wouldn’t accept such role. Moreover, the Piedmont’s club -at least for the moment- doesn’t consider the Croat for sale, but could change his mind if there would be an important offer.
    Tottenham are more and more interested in Mandzukic, even if they will have to face the competition of his former club Bayern Munich.
