Conte doesn't want Chelsea hopeful to go on loan, Genoa left in the lurch

It looks like Genoa target and Chelsea hopeful and England Under-21 star Nathaniel Chalobah isn’t going anywhere.

Recent reports (Tribalfootball) indicate, in fact, that Coach Antonio Conte has rejected any notion of the youngster being sent on loan.

Chalobah has played more of late, coming on in eight premier league games this season, providing an assist as Chelsea killed off Leicester City a few weeks ago.

The 22-year-old is being courted by a number of clubs, including Genoa.

This wouldn’t be the first time that the youngster has flirted with the Serie A, going on loan to Napoli last season. Regrettably, he barely played, only appearing for 29 minutes of league action.

Chalobah last played regular football in the 2014/2015 Championship, making 15 appearances with Reading.

Yet the youngster, who has racked up 32 England Under-21 caps, believes that his six loans “have improved him”. Let’s hope Coach Antonio Conte really agrees!
