Conte to battle Juventus for Real Madrid wing-back

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is prepared to battle Serie A giants Juventus to bring in Danilo from Real Madrid, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, via the Daily Star.

The 25-year-old right-back moved to the Bernabeu two seasons ago in a transfer from Portuguese side Porto for £28m, but has only managed 17 La Liga appearances for Real under manager Zinedine Zidane so far.

The Old Lady have seen Dani Alves leave the club, reportedly to Manchester City, so are interested in bringing a player of Danilo’s capabilities to fill the hole left by him.
But the club will have to face off with their former boss Conte if they are bring in the Brazilian international.

Real Madrid will allow their right-back to leave the club this summer, with the price tag thought to be by experts as between £16.9m - £17.8m.

The Pensioners utilised Victor Moses on the right-flank last season as they stormed to a Premier League title win, with a 3-4-3 formation. Conte is looking to bolster his squad to ensure another successful season, with Danilo a desired target.
