    Could Jose Sosa become Riccardo Montolivo’s replacement (until January)?

    With Riccardo Montolivo who picked up a serious knee injury while on International duty with Italy national team earlier this week, AC Milan boss Vincenzo Montella is considering playing Jose Sosa in the regista role until January, when the rossoneri will make an attempt to sign Fiorentina’s Milan Badelj.

    Today’s friendly against Swiss club Chiasso, will be the first chance to see Jose Sosa in action in that position of the pitch, even f Montella has been deploying the Argentinean in that position during multiple training sessions since the beginning of the campaign.

    Product of academy Manuel Locatelli is another player who could cover the same position. The 18-year-old’s natural position is the one of playmaker, but Montella is considering whether the promising youth can cope with the pressure of having a permanent senior team role at AC Milan.

    Locatelli netted his first Serie A goal last week-end, scoring the equalizer in AC Milan’s 4-3 win over Sassuolo.
