Cristiano Ronaldo announces he's staying with Real Madrid

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo had been tipped to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer due to his bad relationship with part of Real Madrid’s fans. At the beginning of the summer, talks about Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid had been ongoing for a few weeks. Psg and Manchester United were thought to be interested in signing the Portuguese but, in the end, Cristiano has decided to stay at Real Madrid.

The Portugal star has announced his decision in an interview released with Marca.

“Winning trophies is important and last year we did. I want to do win personal and team trophies. The last one was an amazing season and  I want to win the next one to be the same, I want to repeat what we did last season”.

The Spanish paper believes that these words confirm Ronaldo’s will to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu for one more season.

The player will soon make return to training and will have his season debut with Real Madrid on the 12th of August, when the Merengues will be facing Barcelona in the first leg of the Spanish Supercup.
