Cristiano Ronaldo names his four rivals for the Ballon d'Or

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has named the four players he believes he would be competing against in the 2017 Ballon d’Or.

Having beat Lionel Messi and Antonie Greizmann to last year’s honour, the Independent are now reporting that the Portugal international feels that he will be coming up against formidable competition this time around, despite him winning the La Liga title as well as the Champions League last season with Real.

"Of course it is always going to be a fight between us," he recently told ESPN.
"I'm there along with [Lionel] Messi, Neymar, [Robert] Lewandowski and [Gonzalo] Higuain.
"That kind of fighting and competition is healthy and that is what motivates me, being better than them year after year.

"The best always try to compete with the best, it keeps you sharp. You know you can never lose focus because others will overtake you."
