De Boer rivals Prandelli for Lazio bench
Though we at Calciomercato exclusively reported that former Italy manager Claudio Prandelli is very close to Lazio – both sides are confident that an agreement can be reached in very little time – another option is being considered by director of sport Igli Tare.
Local radio Radio Radio claim that Frank De Boer is being seriously considered for the post. With Tare slowly developing a very Dutch network of contacts – bringing the likes of Wesley Hoedt, Stef De Vrij and Ricardo Kishna to Rome – it appears that the race now has two horses. Another factor: Academy Chief Jopp Lensen is known to have some clout at both the recruitment and decision-making level. Could he be swinging things De Boer's way?
