De Rossi: 'Too bad that Spalletti joined Inter, Buffon deserved to win the Champions league'

Here is what Daniele De Rossi had to say to the press as he is currently with the Italian national team: "Conte and Ventura have had discussions to help the national team project grow. Roma? In the past few years we achieved great things, we still don't know who the new coach will be so let's see. Spalletti? He is a great coach, it is too bad that he joined Inter Milan. I have a lot of respect for him but since Inter are a direct rival, let's hope he doesn't do too well".

" I will be 34 years old in a few months but I am sure that I can still give a lot to Italy. 2020? Well by then I will be 37 years old so you have to be realistic... . Roma and Italy are my homes, I want to keep playing for them as long as I could. This coming World cup will likely be my last experience with the Italian national team".

UCL? " I spoke with Buffon and they are still upset about the UCL final defeat. Supporting against Juve? It is not a new thing it would've been the same with any other Italian team. The fact that it was Juve added even more tension between the fans. When I was a little boy, I went to see a Ajax-Juve Ucl final game in Rome and I cheered for Ajax. That's how it is ... . Even so, Buffon deserves to win a UCL title and the Ballon d'or award".
