Decisive Icardi scores his 50th goal in 100 Inter games

Mauro Icardi scored the winner in Inter’s 1-0 win to Frosinone, the first Nerazzurri away triumph in Serie A since the beginning of 2016.

The Argentinean’s striker scored in the 74th minute netting a clinical header after a delicious assist delivered by Ivan Perisic. The goal against Frosinone was his 50th in 100 games with Inter.

It is difficult to find any other 1993-born player capable of recording such a similar rate, in turn, it came as no surprise that both José Mourinho and Diego Simeone would love to coach Icardi next season.

However, last year’s Serie A striker is still a bit underrated. The 24-year-old striker only scores if the gets service: too easy, one would think, but scoring one goal every two games is not an easy achievement to reach at all.

Inter fan might have forget that not all strikers are like Samuel Eto’o, Cristian Vieri, Diego Milito or Ronaldo. There are players whose best talent is simply scoring goals. David Trezeguet proved it quite well during his time as a Juventus player.

Icardi is a tremendous striker. He feels and breathes goals, he’ s ruthless in front of the opponents’ goalkeepers and he’s able to win game almost single-handedly, just like he proved at the Matusa against Frosinone.
