Donnarumma: 'I see myself staying at Milan for 10 more years'
Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has said that he sees himself remaining at the club "for at least another ten years".
Speaking at an awards ceremony in Amalfi, the 17-year-old goalkeeping prodigy spoke of his surprise at playing this season.
"I didn't expect to play at the beginning of the season, I'm grateful to Coach Mihajlovic for having given me this opportunity.
"I thank all my team-mates for making me feel a part of the group, and treated me like an adult. A team has to be united to become a winning side.
"I see myself playing here for many years, it's true that I'm young, but I see myself wearing this shirt for ten years. It's a dream.
The 17-year-old may have missed out on a Euro 2016 call-up, but still spoke of his interest in playing for the Azzurri: "It's the most a kid can hope for, I hope to keep working this way and to earn a call-up".
Still star-struck at his quick ascent ("I still collect my Panini sticker, it wasn't easy... but I found it in the end!") the Campanian youngster also spoke of Milan ("We want to do better next season") and the club's sitution with its potential sale to a Chinese Consortium.
"It's honestly difficult to imagine Milan without the president. I'm very attached to these colours, and to the president too. I don't know what to think, but I put myself in the fans' shoes, which are also ours... I want Milan to go back to winning, and the president knows what to do, he's the right person for the job".
