According to the latest reports, Inter have put their eyes on Twente centre-back Douglas.

The Brazilian would strengthen their shaky backline given that Lucio and Walter Samuel are yet unsure about their future.

The Nerazzurri are also looking at Samir Handanovic, Mauricio Isla and Lucas.

Mauro Zarate will certainly leave San Siro in the summer, Genoa have shown interest in the player. Same goes for Christian Chivu and Ivan Cordoba.

• Heinze to River Plate

The Argentine defender is considering a return to his homeland where River Plate would welcome him with open arms.

Heinze has already earned a new contract with the Giallorossi. As a result of 25 Serie A appearances his contract has been automatically renewed by a year.

However, the player’s family insists for a return to Buenos Aires and in the end Heinze could agree to leave the Olimpico.

• Cellino won’t leave Cagliari

The controversy between Cagliari and the city council continues as the Sardinians have decided to move on and play on a different ground for the rest of the season.

President Massimo Cellino would like to have permission to build a new stadium and according to reports he could quit the club if this doesn’t happen.

“I was born in Cagliari and I have always been living,” explained Cellino. “I will never leave this city and neither will the club because Sardinia is our land.”
