Doyen respond to Pippo Russo exclusive

    • Translated by Lorenzo Bettoni and Edo Dalmonte
We have just received Doyen Sport’s reply to our previous article Juankar, the Braga player who has never been to Braga, which we fully report below alongside Pippo Russo’s counter-reply to the investment fund.

    Dear Sirs,
I write you on behalf of Doyen Sports, to request a full retraction of the story on your website Calciomercato concerning a football player by the name of Juankar:

This player has absolutely no connection with Doyen Sports and never has had. As such, the news you provide on the player is inaccurate, and we kindly request that you republish the story in accordance.

Furthermore, we regret that Calciomercato has repeatedly published unjustified attacks on Doyen Sports, often reporting inaccurately on the company. To this end, we’d like to say that we are entirely available to cooperate with Calciomercato to avoid such situations in the future.
Full contact details are provided below, so please don’t hesitate to write or call us should you wish to check the accuracy of facts.

    Best regards,

    Francisco Empis

I acknowledge your reply concerning the publication of my article on Braga loanee Juancar.

I would like to emphasize that I have merely quoted reports which link your investment fund to him, and I also referenced my source, namely the Seville paper Estadio Deportivo, whilst also linking the relevant article.

In light of that, I suggest you to talk to my Spanish colleagues to obtain a clearer explanation.

Doyen is also accusing calciomercato.com of publish “unjustified attacks on Doyen Sports, often reporting inaccurately on the company”.

I am regrettably unable to answer the charge that my work is “inaccurate", as such statements are generic. I would need to know exactly what I am being taken to task on.

As far as our so-called “unjustified attacks” are concerned, I want to make Doyen Sports aware that calciomercato.com is a news website, and that our job is to inform people.
These are not ad hominem attacks, published without justification or according to an agenda.

Let me add, moreover, that calciomercato.com has published a number of articles over the past year regarding many different agents and their organisations, including Jorge Mendes, Pini Zahavi, Kia Joorabchian, Mino Raiola

A cursory glance at my columns should easily dispel the notion that we are specifically targeting Doyen Sports, or anyone else for that matter.

Finally, I am more than happy to accept your invitation to go through the pieces I have written on Doyen for calciomercato.com together.

I would also lime to remind you that we requested an interview with Doyen Sport’s CEO, senhor Nelio Lucas (http://www.calciomercato.com/news/pippo-russo-risponde-a-doyen-sports-770315) on May 22nd, but we have yet to hear back from him, or Doyen.

We’d like to take this opportunity to request an audience with you, so as to be able to cross-reference our information with you.

    Regards

    Pippo Russo
