Breaking: Verratti tells PSG he wants to leave amid Juve, Barcelona links

PSG are ready to let go of Marco Verratti, but only at the right price.

The Azzurri star is reported by L’Equipe to have told PSG that he wants to leave the club, and PSG are wondering whether to keep him against his will or sell him, seeing as they could charge a huge sum for his services - namely €80 million.

The Italian midfielder’s agent was recently involved in talks with the Ligue 1 giants, whose sporting director, Antero Henrique, met with Donato Di Campli on Thursday.

The French side believes that Verratti is an indispensable cog in their team of the future, but Di Campli made some pretty aggressive statements on Friday, claiming that Juventus were more attractive than PSG because they won games, and they had “increased their appeal over the last four or five years”, something the Parisians hadn’t done.

Verratti isn’t happy at how PSG crashed out of the Champions League this season at the hands of Barcelona, nor indeed of reports in L’Equipe which accused him of clubbing not two days before the catastrophic 6-1 loss at the Nou  Camp.
