Emery to join Juventus if Allegri leaves?

The Spanish press is awash with talk of a possible Massimiliano Allegri departure from Juventus. The two-time Serie A champion and Champions League finalist is rumoured to be part of the next summer’s coaching merry-go-round, especially with Pep Guardiola’s imminent departure from Bayern Munich.

From Spain, the names of Antonio Conte, Eusebio Di Francesco and Didier Deschamps have been mentioned as possible replacements, as well as… Unai Emery’s.

According to Marca, the former Valencia and current Sevilla gaffer is being pursued by a number of European clubs, including the Bianconeri.

The Old Lady has also been linked with Andalucian star Ever Banega, cm.com exclusively revealing that his agent is to meet with Juventus representatives.

The Spanish coach recently quit Doyen to join Jorge Mendes’ Gestifute agency, and the latter are pushing for their client to move up in the world.

Were Allegri to leave, Juventus could do far worse than hand over the reins to a manager who has triumphed on the European stage: Emery winning the last two Europa League finals and earning Champions League qualification with Sevilla.

His contract could be a sticking point, however, with the Basque coach renewing last summer till June 2017.

Juventus meet Emery's Sevilla side for their final Champions League group stage match today, with a win enough to guarantee the Bianconeri a second-place opponent in the Round of 16.
