Empoli-Juventus, Cuadrado: ‘Happy to start the game’

Juventus face Empoli in the last game before the International break which will see Italy national team facing Spain and Macedonia in the World Cup qualifiers.

Massimiliano Allegri has picked Juan Cuadrado to start the game on the right flank in place of Dani Alves. Today’s start is the first one for the Colombian winger this season.

Here’s what he told Mediaset Premium: “I am really happy to be in the starting lineup. The approach will be vital, we have to get a positive result, that’s the only thing that matters.”

“Empoli’s style is attractive and we know there are no easy games. We’ll have to pay attention, let’s hope we can snatch a victory.”

Cuadrado moved to the J Stadium in 2015 in a loan deal from Chelsea. When the former Fiorentina winger returned to the Bridge last summer after the end of his loan spell, however, he asked to return to the J Stadium and the Old Lady completed his signing in the deadline day of the summer transfer window.
