England, Allardyce looks to re-start in the MLS

According to reports in the Guardian, former England boss Sam Allardyce could pick up his coaching career in the US. The journal claims that the 61-year-old, who was sacked by his country last week after being secretly filmed offering advice on how to get around third-party ownership of players, may return to the management in the MLS away from the spotlight that would be thrust upon him if he was to return to a coaching role in England.

Allardyce has previous experience of football in the US having played for the Tampa Bay Rowdies back in 1983. Despite events last week, his club management CV is still impressive having enjoyed successful spells in charge of Bolton Wanderers, West Ham United and Sunderland, who he managed to keep in the Premier League last season against all the odds. Having been holidaying at his villa in Spain since his dismissal from the national team job, it seems Allardyce is ready for at least one more challenge before retirement.
