Epl: Arsenal- Brighton 2-0, here is how the Gunners fared as Iwobi and Sanchez were solid

Despite playing its third match in a week, Arsenal looked dominant once more at the Emirates Stadium and extended its unbeaten streak to seven matches across all competitions. The Gunners picked up a 2-0 win against Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday behind goals from Nacho Monreal and Alex Iwobi on opposite sides of halftime to bring Arsene Wenger's side up to fifth place in the Premier League. Monreal struck after 16 minutes when Hector Bellerin's deflected shot came into the path of the defender, who then proceeded to smash home for his first goal since 2013. Arsenal found the back of the net for a second time in the 56th minute when Alexis Sanchez's brilliant back heel found Iwobi. The Gunners midfielder then blasted into the top corner for the 2-0 advantage. Brighton struggled to find any sort of rhythm on the day, but nearly found an equalizer in the first half when Solly March blasted a long-distance effort off the post. Following the international break, the Gunners will travel to Vicarage Road on October 14 to take on Watford, while Brighton will play host to Everton the following day.

Arsenal Player ratings:

Cech: 6 -- Faced some pressure off of crosses, but only one shot on target.
Holding: 6 -- Solid effort from the defender considering he played a full match against BATE just three days prior.
Mustafi: 6 -- Another one that has been a busy boy lately with matches played.
Monreal: 7 -- His first goal since 2013.
Bellerin: 6 -- His deflection landed in path of Monreal for the opener, but it was an overall strong day for the Spaniard. Ramsey: 5 -- Looked shaky at times in possession, but nearly made up for it with a goal had it not been for Ryan's saved before halftime.
Xhaka: 6 -- Continues to grow into this Arsenal side, and looks a danger with every set piece he takes.
Kolasinac: 6 -- Solid day down the flank for the summer signing.
Iwobi: 7 -- Always does the gritty work in the midfield and managed to pick up his first goal of the season.
Sanchez: 7 -- Brilliant back-heel flick led to Iwobi's goal and another strong showing from the Chilean international. Lacazette: 6 -- The Frenchman didn't see many chances on the day, outside of his early effort that struck the post inside of four minutes.
