From Spain yet another market rumour concerning Juventus, who are looking for reinforcement in defence after the difficulties with Agger and Barzagli. According to the Catalan daily El Mundo Deportivo, the Bianconeri would have entered the race for Victor Ruiz. The 22 year-old Espanyol defender is also liked by Naples, which would have already offered 6 million euro plus the registration of the Argentine Datolo, currently on loan to Espanyol.

Negotiations are underway, as confirmed by the Catalan club director Ramon Planes to Radio CRC: "Ruiz is very well, he is having a good championship in Barcelona, and has a great future. There is the possibility that Victor Ruiz will go to Naples because the club has shown great interest in the player this last winter and this summer. Ruiz is an important player and other teams, Spanish and Italian, have asked about him. There is no formal proposal; we are in the first phase of negotiations with Napoli. Bigon may be in Barcelona, because he is a person who travels a lot. Fiorentina is also interested in Ruiz, but I'd love the Spanish defender to remain at Barcelona because he is an important player. If a good offer should arrive, however, it is clear that the club would sells him. In fact, Espanyol is already looking for an alternative to Ruiz. Datolo is an interesting player, a great player who has a great future. Espanyol is doing well in the league.
