Everton identify their replacement for Chelsea, Man Utd target

Everton look set to lose Romelu Lukaku this summer and according to The Express (via The Sun) this morning, the Toffees have identified the player they want to replace the big Belgian international.

The journal claims that Leicester City frontman Jamie Vardy has gone to the top of Ronald Koeman’s wish list after the England striker had a change of heart about his future. Having rejected a move to Arsenal last summer to pledge his future to the Foxes, it’s now understood that the 30-year-old is ready for a new challenge after seeing his team-mate Riyad Mahrez also make noises about a departure from the King Power Stadium.

Vardy is currently earning £100,000-a-week at the 2016 Premier League champions but with the team that made history seemingly coming to the end of it’s cycle, he could be one of the big name stars heading for the exit.

Everton meanwhile, have placed a £100M price tag on Lukaku but this has not put off both Chelsea and Manchester United who remain interested in securing his services.
