Everton join Spurs in race for 16-goal hitman

Everton have joined the race for Josh King.

The Norwegian international smashed in sixteen goals for Bournemouth last season, enough to attract Tottenham Hotspur’s interest.

The 25-year-old has some doubts about moving to White Hart Lane, however, because he fears that he will be stuck behind Harry Kane.

Everton have already spent £96 million in total to bolster their squad, including Michael Keane and Sandro Ramirez.

Then again, the Norwegian said he was interested in a move to North London, recently admitting that he “would be a liar if I said I hadn’t noticed it [the links with Spurs]. It was in most papers in England.”

“I was intrigued even being mentioned in the same sentence as Spurs, a big team who play in the Champions League.”

Everton are expecting to lose Romelu Lukaku this summer, and this may justify their desire to sign strikers, with Sandro also close to moving to Goodison Park.
