Ex Milan keeper Diego Lopez is now in Espanyol's history books

Diego Lopez had moved to Milan from Real Madrid a few season ago. After a solid first season with the rossoneri club, Diego Lopez lost his number one spot to Milan sensation Gianluigi Donnarumma (who was only 16 years old at the time). Since then, Diego Lopez moved this past summer to Espanyol in an attempt to play with more continuity. Lopez has now become an idol of the Espanyol fans. He entered in the history books of the club as he has now gone over 500 minutes without conceding a goal which beat Kanemi's previous record.

Diego Lopez is currently on loan from Milan but Espanyol will likely want to retain his services as both clubs will discuss this possibility in the coming months. Milan will take on Roma tomorrow in a crucial game for both clubs as they enter the game both tied on points (32 points each in the Serie A standings).
