Exclusive: AC Milan and Raiola go head to head over Donnarumma release clause

AC Milan and Mino Raiola are negotiating the contract extension of Gigio Donnarumma but sources have told Calciomercato.com that there are still many problems regarding an agreement between the two parties.

Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli met the player and his agent in Monte Carlo last week but the two parties did not manage to reach an agreement.

AC Milan offered Donnarumma € 4 million-a-year, an offer that would make the 18-year-old him jump among the five best paid goalkeepers in the world. Gigi Buffon earns as much at Juventus and that gives quite a good idea of how important the offer of AC Milan is.

Donnarumma and Raiola, however, are still taking time and are in no rush to reach an agreement. AC Milan have told Donnarumma and his representative that they must make a decision by the middle of July.

Raiola wants AC Milan to include a release clause in the player’s contract but the club do not want to match the agent’s request. If theyìd decide to add a release clause in the player’s contract that would be definitely higher than € 100 million.

Raiola wants a lower release clause and the two parties seem very far from reaching an agreement at the moment.
