Exclusive: AC Milan defender’s agent to land in Italy to discuss January exit

Leonel Vangioni’s father/agent Armando will meet AC Milan representatives next week to discuss a potential departure of his son in January, calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo has exclusively learned.

The Argentinean right-back has yet to make official debut with the Serie A giants and is clearly not happy with his situation at the club. Armando Vangioni will arrive in Italy on Monday to meet the representatives of the San Sito outfit and inform them about interest of other clubs for his son.

Despite Vangioni’s lack of game time, there are still many potential suitors interested in signing him. Former AC Milan and current Torino gaffer Sinisa Mihajlovic is a long time admirer of Vangioni, so much so he was the one who suggested Galliani to take the Argentinean defender to the club last year.

Palermo boss Roberto De Zerbi is also a big fan of the 29-year-old defender even if the player’s most likely destination is Sevilla, at least at this stage, as Jorge Sampaoli has demanded the player’s services in January. There are, however, two more clubs that could enter the race for the unhappy former River Plate striker whose next destination is still unknown. His AC Milan January departure is the only thing that we can take for granted.
