Exclusive: AC Milan prepare improved bid for ex Man Utd and Chelsea target

AC Milan are going to make an improved bid for Torino star striker Andrea Belotti, a former Manchester United and Chelsea target. Both Premier League giants had been linked with signing the 23-year-old but the Red Devils eventually decided to sign Romelu Lukaku whilst Alvaro Morata has now just joined Chelsea.

Belotti has a € 100 million release clause included in his contract, but the clause is only valid for clubs outside Serie A.

AC Milan, however, are going to make an improved bid for the Italian striker. The rossoneri saw their opening player-plus cash swap deal rejected by Torino (the Serie A giants had offered € 40 million plus the likes of Paletta and Niang) and are now going to put another € 15 million on top of their opening offer.

Our transfer target Fabrizio Romano claims AC Milan will make an improved € 50/55 million bid plus the likes of Paletta and Niang.

Torino, however, are planning to keep the player at the club for one more season at least. In the coming days they could offer Belotti a new € 3 million-a-year deal. The granata are open to sell the player but his transfer fee would necessarily be close to € 100 million. If no club can reach that fee, Torino will keep Belotti for one more season at least.
