Exclusive: AC Milan sound out Napoli over Reina as Donnarumma unsure on future

AC Milan have had a contact with Napoli to discuss a possible move of Pepe Reina to the San Siro, sources have exclusively told calciomercato.com. The rossoneri have an agreement with Donnarumma for his contract extension but they are not sure that the player will pen a new deal as Mino Raiola has yet to given his green light.

Fassone confirmed yesterday Donnarumma’s AC Milan extension is not done.

“I feel like Gigio wants to sign a new contract, we have an agreement with the player and his family and this is our final offer. I think Donnarumma will take a decision within one or two days but these king of choices are never taken by players on their own.”

“Agents can be very influent and in this case there is one who knows exactly how to do his job. We don’t share his ideas so I don’t know what the final choice of Donnarumma will be. I talk to Mino [Raiola] because he’s the representative of the player. I repeat: we are close to reaching an agreement with the player and his family, not yet with Raiola.”, Fassone told Il Corriere della Sera.

Donnarumma has been given 48 hours more to think about the offer of AC Milan and although the rossoneri are optimistic about a positive end of negotiations, they are still not 100% sure that the a18-year-old will put pen to paper on a new deal.
