Exclusive: Details of Juventus’ new contract talks with Allegri

Juventus and Massimiliano Allegri are going to discuss the terms of a new deal in the next few hours and calciomercato.com can now reveal the details of negotiations between the two parties.

This past February we revealed that Allegri and Juventus had already decided to part companies at the end of the season. Allegri was willing to move to London where Arsenal were looking for a possible successor of Wenger. Juve, on the other hand, had been looking for possible replacements but failed to find any decent replacement for the Italian who lost two Champions League finals but managed to win three successive Serie A titles and just as much Coppa Italia during his three-year spell at the J Stadium.

Arsenal’s decision to extend Wenger’s contract made it impossible for Allegri to look for possible new teams and the two parties are going to discuss the terms of a new deal in the next few hours.

​Juventus are set to offer a one-year contract extension but Allegri wants two-year contract extension at least.

The Italian is also set to get a pay rise in order to cement his place as the best paid manager in Serie A. Allegri is on a € 5,5 million-a-year deal and Juve are going to offer him a new € 7 million-a-year deal.

Transfer market strategies are also going to be discussed during the meeting. Allegri has requested at least two new wingers and a central midfielder. Allegri is an admirer of Tolisso but Juventus have already called themselves out of the race to sign the Frenchman. If they fail to sign him, Allegri wants a new midfielder who has the same potential of the Lyon star.

​Meantime, Psg are ready to offer Allegri a € 10-million-a-year deal. If Juve and the Italian fail to reach an agreement, Al-Khelaifi will make his official proposal to the former AC Milan manager.

At the moment, it is very likely to see Allegri sign a contract extension with Juventus but in case he fails to put pen to paper on a new agreement, Paulo Sousa and Di Francesco would be considered as possible successors as the latter has yet to reach an agreement with AS Roma. Meantime, Diego Simeone is considering leaving Atletico Madrid again after the club’s transfer ban....
