Exclusive: €20m Sevilla arrival was offered to Inter
As the Sampdoria champion is preparing to move to Sevilla - who signed him for €20 million, with 20% of his eventual resale going to the Doriani - we can exclusively reveal that the Colombian international was offered to Inter, but the Nerazzurri weren’t interested.
He was also linked to Napoli and to Roma, among others.
Previously linked to a move to Chelsea after a strong start to last season, Muriel’s inconsistency worried Spalletti, who took over at Inter a few weeks ago after a catastrophic 2016-2017 season.
The Tuscan man has also told the Nerazzurri to not focus too much energy on Domenico Berardi and Federico Bernardeschi.
Muriel scored 13 goals in Serie A last season, but he went without scoring for ten games at one stage, and he is known for blowing hot and cold.
The 26-year-old joined Sevilla recently, and will likely take Inter loanee Stevan Jovetic’s job.
