EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: ‘Inter would need a player like Maicon’, RB agent says
Talking exclusively to calciomercato.com, the Brazilian’s agent has commented rumours that had linked his client with moves to Inter and Lazio.
“I’ve heard nobody from Sampdoria. Genoa had made contact, but it was an impossible operation to complete. Let’s see what happens now.”
Would it be economically possible to bring Maicon to Sampdoria?
“It could be, Maicon is a free agent and is a good opportunity for everyone. Just look at what he did at Roma in the last games of the 2015-16 campaign. Not five years ago, just a few months. There are many Serie A clubs that have problems with their fullbacks. Sampdoria is a good team, but everyone involved in the deal must be happy to do it.”

“Not at the moment”
Have other clubs made contact for the player?
“Many clubs, but Maicon is not for everyone and it’s not about money. He’s waiting for the right project. He needs a motivations. I’ve heard rumors saying that I had offered him to Inter. That’s not true. I had a meeting with Inter and we only had a chat. Inter would need someone like Maicon on the right flank. Everyone knows who Maicon is. He doesn’t need to offer his services around. He can still give a lot.”
