EXCLUSIVE: Juve and Napoli to battle for Ajax wonderkid amid EPL interest

Juventus and Napoli will be battling it out for the Serie A title until the very end of the season, but Bianconeri and Azzurri have also set sights on the same transfer target for next campaign, as both sides have been linked with welcoming the services of Ajax wonderkid Riechedly Bazoer, Emanuele Tramacere has revealed.

The 19-year-old can play everywhere in the midfield and has already racked up 60 games with Ajax’s senior squad scoring five goals and register five assists in all competitions, since he joined the Lancers in 2012.

He is a modern midfielder, with physical strength, good passing and vision. He has more than the 91% of passes right this season and the 60% of winning tackles.
Holland press have already compared him with some of the finest Oranje greats: from Frank Rijkaard to Clarence Seedorf, but Alfons Groenendijk, who coached  Bazoer at Ajax youth team has linked the promising midfielder to Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira.

No surprise, then, that also Arsen Wenger would love to see him playing at the Emirates Stadium next season.

Bazoer is a product of PSV Academy, but when his former club proposed him to sign a professional contract shortly after that he had turned 16, he rejected the offer, signing with Ajax instead.

PSV denounced the Lancers for having signed the player without their agreement, causing Bazoer’s suspension for a few weeks.

“I could have signed with Manchester City”, Bazoer told Voetbal International shortly after having joined the Amsteram ArenA.

“But I’ve preferred to remain in Holland a bit more, also for my mum.”

With clear ideas and no lack of personality, there is no doubt that lot of people will talk about Riechedly Bazoer over the next few years.
