Exclusive: Juve make contact to sign Real Madrid defender & Man Utd target

Dani Alves’ sudden farewell to Juventus has forced the Old Lady to look for replacements for the Brazilian star who is expected to join Manchester City as a free agent in the next few weeks. Although Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian tops the Old Lady shopping list, Juve are also having a look around Europe trying to identify the heir of Dani Alves.

Our transfer pundit Fabirzio Romano has exclusively learned that the Old Lady has made contact with the agent of Real Madrid defender Danilo who is expected to leave the Merengues in the summer. Fabio Paratici met the player’s agent in Milan yesterday to know something more about his transfer availability.

Juventus have also resumed their interest in Monaco’s Fabinho who is also being monitored by both Manchester clubs. The Brazilian’s price-tag is € 45 million and would be a perfect fit for the Old Lady given that he can either play as centre midfielder or right back.

Trouble is, both Danilo and Fabinho are non-EU players and Juve have only one slot available out of two given that the first one will be used for Rodrigo Bentantcur. Juventus’ are negotiating the transfer of Douglas Costa who is also an extra-EU player and Juventus have to decide who their real priority is ahead of beginning transfer talks with Real Madrid and Monaco.
