EXCLUSIVE: Juventus closing in on two promising wonderkids

    • Lorenzo Bettoni (@lorebetto)
As previously reported, Juventus are closing in on the signings of Rolando Mandragora and Stefano Sensi, two promising wonderkids who are thriving in Serie B at Pescara and Cesena respectively.

The scouting work of Giuseppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici, by the way, is far from being over as the Old Lady  has set sights on two more starlets who could join the Stadium from next season, Nicola Balice and Fabrizio Romano have revealed.

According to Balice, Marotta will use today’s trip to Genova (where Juventus are playing against Sampdoria) to complete the transfer of Blucerchiati right-back Pedro Pereira.

The 17-year-old is producing some superb performance at Marassi and has already racked up eight appearances in Serie A since he joined Samp from Benfica for a fee of € 190.000 last summer.

Marotta and Paratici believe that he can become one of the best right-backs over the next few years, so much so they have offered € 6 million to secure the player’s services.
Juventus, of course, are not the only side to be aware of Pedro Pereira’s potential as Inter and Leicester are also interested in signing him.

By the way, if Juve and Samp will find economic agreement over the player transfer, the Old Lady could decide to loan-back Pedro Pereira to Sampdoria for a period up to eighteen months.

In the meanwhile Juventus have also set sights on the product of Fulham and Napoli Academies Marcello Trotta, Fabrizio Romano has revealed.

The 23-year-old striker is blazing a trail at Avellino having netted seven goals and registered five assists in 19 Serie B games.

The Bianconeri are planning to buy him in partnership with Sassuolo, a strategy that the two parties have already used to acquire the likes of Simone Zaza and Domenico Berardi.

Juventus are expected to make offer for Avellino starlet at the beginning of next week and should the Serie B side accept the Old Lady’s proposal, Trotta could join Sassuolo on loan for six months.
