Exclusive: Juventus will listen to Man City, Chelsea offers for star defender

Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci’s future at the club isn’t as cast-iron as previously thought.

Alessio Salerio confirms that Juventus will listen to a big offer, which Manchester City are set to make in order to find someone to partner youngster John Stones and supervise him.

Vincent Kompany is on his last wheels, after all, and could leave the Etihad this summer. There’s a problem with Juventus, however, who have signed two young defenders - Mattia Caldara and Daniele Rugani - who have either not joined (the former) or not played all that regularly (Rugani).

With Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini getting old, however, Juventus will need to carefully weigh all the options.

A  lot will depend on the Bianconeri’s current Champions League campaign:  confirming his status as one of Europe’s best defenders, Bonucci argued with Coach Max Allegri earlier this year and was dropped for the trip to Porto.

Were things not to go well in the semi-finals, Bonucci could be tempted with a move away from the J Stadium…
