    EXCLUSIVE: Milan's priority isn't signing players, it's re-signing them!

Is this looking like a Milan team that fans can be happy with? Would this explain why nobody joined in the transfer window? Carlos Bacca is scoring like a machine, Gigi Donnarumma guarantees security at the back, M’Baye Niang has been excellent: avoiding a move to the Walkers Stadium was a good move, to say the least.

But who will Milan be focussing on for the next window? Leonel Vangioni seems to be all but a Milan player, with an agreement being reached with River Plate’s president, Rodolfo D’Onofrio. He’ll undergo his medical, and the two sides will sign the deal in South American sometime soon.

But what about the Rossoneri’s other targets? Franco Vazquez is an expensive one, with Maurizio Zamparini asking for 20 million. Anwar El Ghazi seemed all set to pack his bags and move to Mian, but the breakdown of Luiz Adriano’s move to Jiangsu Suning put an end to that. Problem is, the 8 million Milan were supposed to pay now looks more like 13/14 million.

El Ghazi may not even fit the team’s scheme, but his stock is very high indeed compared to someone like Hatem Ben Arfa (remember when Milan sent some scouts to watch him?). He’s been offered to the Rossoneri… but that’s not gone anywhere.

Milan’s big priority will be trying to reach an agreement with one of their best players, Giacomo Bonaventura. Ironically one of the lowest-paid Milanisti in the current squad, the former Atalanta product changed his agent recently, choosing a certain Mino Raiola to represent him. We’d already anticipated that this had provoked a sudden change of heart in Adriano Galliani, who seemed to suddenly like the idea of doubling Jacky’s pay.

As thing stand, Galliani is considering it, whilst Bonaventura believes he deserves a raise… and he’s got a number of clubs after him. But Milan aren’t thinking of that. Just as the Milan of old wouldn’t.
